Community-focused activities, classes and events

The Bonnington Centre and Cafe feature four bookable spaces and a communal first floor kitchenette –  which are widely used for community focused activities, classes and events. These have recently included music and theatre rehearsals; live music events; yoga classes, acupuncture and sound bath sessions; art shows; organisation meetings; workplace awaydays; and therapy sessions. BCCA particularly welcomes practitioners interested in promoting wellbeing for all.

The Bonnington Cafe has reopened!

Our community-owned Centre has hosted outstanding vegan and vegetarian cooking for more than 40 years.  The Café has now fully reopened for evening meals (Tuesdays to Saturdays, 6pm to 10.30pm) and for Sunday brunch (11am to 3pm). You can find more details and how to book here.

Accessibility

The Bonnington Centre is homed in a mid-Victorian terraced building, which has some challenges for accessibility. Even so, the BCCA is working hard to make the building as accessible as possible. The ground floor Café interior is fully wheelchair accessible, with permanent ramps at the front door and in the Café itself. The patio area is also fully accessible with the use of a temporary ramp and grab rails. The ground floor toilet, while not wheelchair accessible due to its small size, is equipped with grab rails. The upper three floors of the Centre can only be reached by relatively steep stairs, though each staircase has double bannisters. The toilet is situated next to the Office and is equipped with grab rails. For more info on accessibility at the BCCA and your needs, please call or email us.
